Colours are celebrated in my scarves. Silk is a luxurious, sensual fabric and it’s vibrancy and luster express one’s unique personality. The one-of-a-kind combination of colours and patterns is a result of techniques of silk-screening, devoré, hand-dyeing, stitching and/or layering. Devoré (Ausbrenner) is an etching technique that removes the rayon fibres of silk velvet, resulting in a fine pattern of relief. The combination of silk chiffon and wool fibres creates a beautiful scarf with visual texture, being light and warm at the same time.
